Rabbit Patellar Tendon Defects: A Journey in Animal Model Development

This presentation shares the journey of adapting a published rabbit patellar tendon defect animal model to fit the needs of a novel therapeutic for a tendon regeneration pilot experiment. Through extensive research, collaborative problem-solving strategies, and technical refinements, a successful model was created for the needs of the study that yielded positive outcomes. Through sharing this journey and our methods for animal model development, we aim to help others in addressing challenges during their own model creation and refinement.
